  35th Anniversary Celtic Classic Returns to Downtown Bethlehem, PA

  The 35th annual Celtic Classic, sponsored each year by the Celtic Cultural Alliance, returned to the streets of beautiful Historic Downtown Bethlehem, and Patient First was part of the fun again this year. We have enjoyed participating in this event for many years and join others in celebrating all things Celtic while we are there. That includes education, musical performances, and traditional competitions in athletics, piping and dance. Celtic refers to seven nations - Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany, the Isle of Mann and Galicia. The event drew competitors from all over the county, and visitors from all over as well. We participated in the closing day of this three-day event and the culmination of the "Highland Games" which has been described as the biggest competition that a professional men's Highland gamer can go to. The day was full of plenty of men in kilts -- women and children, too. And even though we had a little afternoon rain on closing day, it surely didn't dampen anyone's spirits.   Inclement Weather Didn't Dampen Spirits At Bethlehem's 2023 Celtic Classic

  Mother Nature may not have been kind to the 2023 Celtic Classic event in Bethlehem, PA, but that surely didn't dampen our spirits, or the spirits of the world-class athletes who competed in the event, nor those of their families and friends, and attendees from all over the Lehigh Valley and beyond. Much to our delight, after all of the competitions concluded, several of the athletes came out into the crowd for food and beverage, and even a visit to our Patient First tent. We enjoyed great conversations with them, and even provided free blood pressure checks to those who were interested. It was such fun to meet and chat with these athletes in person. They were such fun, and so conversational with us! It was also great fun to see men, women and children of all ages in their kilts in keeping with the theme of the event and the Celtic cultural heritage. We enjoyed many compliments from people who had used the services of our Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton centers, as well as other centers as far away as New Jersey, ...

  "Wheels of Wayne" Event Celebrates 9th Anniversary

  This year marked the 9th anniversary for people to cruise on in for this annual car show in downtown Wayne, PA. Patient First has participated in the event several times over the years, and it has become one of our favorites near our Devon center. As a sponsor, we have enjoyed interacting with the local community, and the many others who traveled from out of the area to enjoy a fun-filled day. Originally slated for Saturday, April 30, inclement weather prevailed and the event was moved to it's May 7th rain date. This was such a great call, since Mother Nature smiled upon us and delivered a beautiful day with bright sunshine and temperatures in the mid-70s. Large crowds came out to enjoy the day, and all of the new, antique, classic and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles that were on display on two streets in Wayne. In addition to the many vendors, there was entertainment of all sorts, food and beverages, prizes and more for the whole family to enjoy.   Codurus Trail of Treats

  On Friday, October 21st, and Saturday, October 22nd, the campground at Codurus State Park was filled with werewolves, witches, ghouls, and all varieties of ghastly and ghostly creatures for the 2nd annual Codurus Trail of Treats. A tradition that actually began 15 years ago, this event returned in its rebranded form in the wake of the pandemic. Campers and businesses pull out all the stops, while event organizers open up the park to 6,000 ticket holders who wended their way through the grounds, filling up on Halloween fun. This was our first time participating in this event, and it was certainly an event to remember! A non-stop wave of families streamed past our table and tent, which was not just decked out in some creepy Halloween decor, but also featured a life-sized version of the classic game "Operation," as we invited kids to play the game to win yo-yo's, planes, and hot/cold packs.
