  Hanover Tomato Festival

  On Friday, July 15 the Hanover County community welcomed the Hanover Tomato Festival back to Poole Green Park.  This highly anticipated, family oriented tradition has been around for many years.  There were several games and activities for the kids and some unique crafts and homemade goods.  People came out to purchase the fresh produce and indulge in some popular tomato themed dishes.  Although the weather was warm, people were excited to be outdoors.  Our friend, McGruff even took time away from fighting crime to say hello.  Patient First was proud to be there to share some health benefits of tomatoes and support the return of this beloved festival.

  Hanover Township Festival

  Hanover Township Festival After being closed for nearly a year and a half, Bethlehem’s Hanover Township Community Center recently re-opened, and their first event back – Hanover Township Fall Festival, a pirate-themed event – was a huge success. As the first “returning sponsor” as the facility reopened, we earned a premier spot in the midst of all the fun. Our tent was a popular one and our giveaways flew off our table. We enjoyed lots of excellent conversations with folks from throughout the Lehigh Valley – Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton.  Mother Nature even cooperated by providing perfect weather for an outdoor Fall event. There are more fun, family-friendly events planned at the Community Center in the weeks and months ahead, and Patient First is looking forward to being part of them! It is such a pleasure to be good neighbors with such a great community organization that is just a short drive from our Bethlehem center.

  Maryland Seafood Festival 2023

  The 2023 Maryland Seafood Festival came a little earlier this year than in years past, and at a different location. What remained the same though, was the fun, the food, and the festive atmosphere that have kept crowds coming for 57 years! This year, the festival moved from its traditional location, and came to City Dock in Annapolis, just a stone's throw from the Naval Academy and the State House. Crowds were literally lining up at the gate, which was directly in front of the Patient First tent bringing each and every one of the thousands of ticket holders past our booth. We had scores of great conversations with people from all over the Delmarva region, who thanked us for the service we provided them, and loved how clean and organized the centers were. We also had quite a few people from western Maryland, the eastern shore, North Carolina and New York, who while unfamiliar with what we do, were very interested in having us expand into their hometowns.   2023 Lancaster Hot Air Balloon Festival

  One of the most visually dazzling events of this region's event season returned over the weekend in the form of the Lancaster Hot Air Balloon Festival. Held on an expansive field in Bird-In Hand, PA, this 4-day event typically draws crowds by the busloads from as far north as Wisconsin, to as far south as Alabama. As a long-time sponsor of this event, our Patient First tent was placed in a prime position-- right at the edge of the vendor fair, as crowds exited and entered the field to witness the nightly balloon glow event, and scheduled balloon ascensions. We also sponsored the festival's corn maze, as well as one of the balloons launched daily. Sadly, the evening winds were just a tad too strong to allow for an evening ascension, but the morning ascensions did go off as planned. In addition to a wide variety of food, games, live entertainment that included bands, magicians, and character shows, this year's festival offered a new feature-- helicopter rides!   Bethlehem's Hanover Township Community Center Kicks Off 2023 Holiday Season

  We love participating at events at Bethlehem's Hanover Township Community Center, since it is located literally right down the street from our Bethlehem center. Once again we were invited to join their annual tree lighting and holiday event, and we were delighted to return. Mother Nature was not kind on event day, and brought us rainy conditions all day. Event organizers successfully pivoted, however, and brought most of the event indoors. We didn't complain since it allowed us to stay toasty warm inside and not be outdoors in the cold, wet weather.  Each year this free event attracts hundreds of folks from the neighborhood and beyond, and this year was no exception. The lobby of the Community Center was packed full of people  before the event even began. This year participants enjoyed so many fun, family-friendly activities, including cookie decorating, an ice carving demonstration, an indoor snowball battle, and event photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. There was even free food and beverages, and a local middle school band to set the holiday spirit. It was such a fun time for us, and a great evening out ...

  2023 York Enchanted Fairy Festival

  On Saturday, September 16th and Sunday, September 17th, at the Springettsbury Township Park, just a little over two miles from our York center, a land of enchantment filled with fairies, gnomes, ogres, mermaids, pirates and believers of all ages sprung out of nowhere, as the York Enchanted Fairy Festival returned once again. This is our second year participating with this fun and family-friendly event, and once again we embraced the spirit of the weekend, with several staffers dressing up in costume and hosting a second side table, where children could come and craft popsicle stick fairies, and decorate them with various materials. Once again, our craft table kept the kids busy, freeing up the parents to talk with us about their experiences with us (100% positive), and for us to discuss the services we offer to the few who weren't familiar with us. Patients of ours from York, Mechanicsburg, Harrisburg, Lancaster, White Marsh, Bel Air, Catonsville, and even Glen Burnie and Annapolis made the trip to this event, and all were glad to see us, and went away with some promotional ...
