  Wilson Borough's Centennial Celebration What an honor it was for Patient First to be invited to join Wilson Borough’s Centennial Celebration. Wilson Borough, in Easton, PA, celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020. The pandemic paused the celebration, but it returned October 14 – 16, 2021 in a big way, with food, rides, games, and live music and entertainment for the three days! We were able to join the Friday evening festivities. The community responded, and the weather couldn’t have been nicer for an outdoor Fall event. Organized by Borough Mayor Donald Barrett, Jr. and his team, the event was first-rate and very busy with attendance anticipated at more than 5,000 people from Easton and nearby communities. We enjoyed interacting with local folks, many who had been patients at our center near Meuser Park where this event was held. Organizers tell us they hope an annual Fall Festival will continue in future years … and if it does, you can count on seeing Patient First making a return appearance!   Take Me Out To The Ball Game - A Salute To Our Veterans

  Hats off to the Lehigh Valley's IronPigs ball club for organizing and hosting "Operation Send A Vet" on Opening Day, March 29, 2024. For the third consecutive year, Patient First was able to participate in this amazing "thank you" event by hosting 100 veterans and their families at the ball game. Several other local organizations joined in and collectively more than 1,300 veterans enjoyed a night out at the ball game. The frosting on the cake was an IronPigs win on this special night. We take pride in events and activities that help male and female veterans whether active duty or retired, in the Reserves or in the National Guard. It was heartwarming for us to meet so many vets during our evening at the ballpark. Even though Mother Nature wasn't very kind to us and delivered a bitterly cold evening, we all had a great time being on site again for this amazing event.   Inclement Weather Didn't Dampen Spirits At Bethlehem's 2023 Celtic Classic

  Mother Nature may not have been kind to the 2023 Celtic Classic event in Bethlehem, PA, but that surely didn't dampen our spirits, or the spirits of the world-class athletes who competed in the event, nor those of their families and friends, and attendees from all over the Lehigh Valley and beyond. Much to our delight, after all of the competitions concluded, several of the athletes came out into the crowd for food and beverage, and even a visit to our Patient First tent. We enjoyed great conversations with them, and even provided free blood pressure checks to those who were interested. It was such fun to meet and chat with these athletes in person. They were such fun, and so conversational with us! It was also great fun to see men, women and children of all ages in their kilts in keeping with the theme of the event and the Celtic cultural heritage.   The Great Allentown Fair Never Disappoints

  The Great Allentown Fair celebrated its 171st anniversary at the Allentown Fairgrounds this year, and Patient First was part of the fun as a sponsor. The Fairgrounds location is very close to our Allentown center, and it has a big draw from throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond each year. We were delighted to hear so many positive comments about patient experiences in our Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton and Wyomissing centers, as well as from folks who visited from even farther away including Central Pennsylvania, South Jersey and Maryland. This event never disappoints. The Fair has been a Labor Day weekend tradition, and it always has a little something for everyone to enjoy, from livestock to amusement rides, concerts, games, contests, food and so much more. We love returning to this event each year as a sponsor, and we are especially happy that Mother Nature gave us perfect weather for our participation in this year's event as she did in 2021.   Lehigh Valley's Musikfest Celebrates 40th Anniversary

  Musikfest returned for its 40th year in the Lehigh Valley and Patient First was part of the action on "Preview Night" again this year. The Bethlehem, PA event is the country's largest free music festival, and it draws more than 1 million people annually. A record-breaking 1,240,000 people attended Musikfest in 2022, and 2023 attendance will likely be larger. This 10-day festival features more than 500 performances across 16 stages located throughout the city of Bethlehem. It is so much fun and we love being part of the activities each year! Hundreds of performances can be enjoyed by 'Festers' throughout the run of the event, and almost all of the events are free. The only ones that required a purchased ticket are the headliners each evening. On our day at the fair, the band AJR was the headliner and performed to a sold out crowd of 7,000+ people. Although we are only able to be on site for a single day, event organizers, staff and volunteers always go above and beyond to be accommodating and welcoming to us, and we couldn't be happier.   Patient First Participates in a Bethlehem Blueberry Tradition

  A delicious “Blueberry Festival” tradition in Bethlehem, PA returned to celebrate its 35th milestone anniversary this year, and we were part of the festivities for the first time this year. Held over a two-day weekend at the historic Burnside Plantation — site of an 18th-century Moravian farm complete with historic barns, a Colonial kitchen garden, a pollinator garden, and an apple orchard, and affectionately known as Bethlehem’s “Farm in the City” — the annual celebration provided participants with a variety of ways to enjoy all things blueberry. We had such a fun weekend representing our Lehigh Valley centers in Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton and talking with event participants about how we take care of people when they are sick or injured with non-emergency medical issues. Proceeds from this event will benefit Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites to maintain 20 historic landmarks, and Patient First is proud to support such worthwhile community activities.
