  Patient First Celebrates First Responders in Berks County, PA

  Red Knights PA Chapter 10 is a motorcycle club comprised of past and present firefighters and their families who are devoted to helping their fellow First Responders in a variety of ways. They organized their inaugural Berks County Firefighter Appreciation Day, and invited Patient First to be part of the celebration. What an honor it was to stand with so many first responders – fire, ambulance, police and more in a day of appreciation – heroes just like those of us who work in the medical profession during these challenging, pandemic times. This was a family-friendly event … and we interacted with families of all ages. There were about a dozen fire trucks with their crews on site, several EMS/Ambulance providers … and even a medical helicopter flew in and stayed for a few hours. The event provided demonstrations of a vehicle extraction, and extinguishing a vehicle fire – both fascinating to view, and educational.   Wilson Baseball and Softball Coach Says Thanks "Thank you Patient First! Wilson baseball and softball has had a long relationship with Patient First back to 2017, and we have so appreciated the sponsorship support over the years. I am a coach, and “sports dad” to a Little League, boy (Cayden) and a softball girl (Sofia). My wife and I are keenly aware of bumps and bruises that come with active children, and Patient First has served us well over the years. Although we’d prefer to NOT have to visit for obvious reasons. Five years ago before the start of the baseball season, Cayden had a playground injury, and we thought his excitement about playing ball may have ended for the season before it even started. We took him to Patient First in Wyomissing to be checked out, and sure enough, his arm was broken. That didn’t stop him from playing the season.   Patient First Sponsors Bowie Baysox

  It was a beautiful day with perfect weather for a baseball game on a Friday night in the city of Bowie, Maryland. Hundreds of families gathered on June 17 for a night out for baseball, food and fun at the Prince George’s County Stadium in Bowie, Maryland. Staff from Patient First came out to engage with the public by handing out promotional items and spoke about services that Patient First offers. We even snagged a picture with the Bowie team mascot. Patient First is a proud sponsor of the Bowie Baysox baseball team. As a sponsor, Patient First nurses staff the First Aid station at every home game. Go Bowie Baysox! We look forward to supporting more games this season!

  Hero's Day at the Bowie Baysox Presented by Patient First

  On Sunday, July 21st, the Bowie Baysox, the AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles honored first responders with its annual Hero's Day, and for the first time, Patient First was the proud presenting sponsor for the day! This inaugural event sponsorship further deepens our ties with the Baysox, on top of having been in the managing organization of the stadium's First Aid station for years. As the presenting sponsor for Hero's Day, we were afforded a pair of digital billboards on the team's massive scoreboard, two between-inning ad reads by the Baysox PA announcer, a 4x4 banner displayed at the main gate crediting us as the Hero's Day sponsor, an on-air interview during the game on the team's radio partner, WNAV, and participation in the pre-game first pitch ceremony. Dr. Delbert Morales, the regional medical director for DC and Northern Virginia was given the honor of the first pitch ceremony, and threw a very respectable toss to the catcher.   Take Me Out To The Ball Game - Little League Style

  We enjoy partnering with many sports organizations, but each year the Little League sponsorships near our centers always seem to catch a special place in our hearts.  There's nothing quite like hearing or even singing "Take me out to the ball game," and it is even more special for us when we are at a game and see our Patient First name on team jerseys, or our banner hung at ball parks. This year we were excited to be invited to participate in Opening Day activities for the Cherry Hill American Little League in New Jersey. And, what a great day we had! We have been a sponsor for many years, but this was the first time we had the opportunity to join everyone on site for the Opening Day festivities. One of the day's highlights was meeting the Coach of "our" Patient First team, along with several of our team players, their moms, their dads, and their families.   Patient First Participates in a Bethlehem Blueberry Tradition

  A delicious “Blueberry Festival” tradition in Bethlehem, PA returned to celebrate its 35th milestone anniversary this year, and we were part of the festivities for the first time this year. Held over a two-day weekend at the historic Burnside Plantation — site of an 18th-century Moravian farm complete with historic barns, a Colonial kitchen garden, a pollinator garden, and an apple orchard, and affectionately known as Bethlehem’s “Farm in the City” — the annual celebration provided participants with a variety of ways to enjoy all things blueberry. We had such a fun weekend representing our Lehigh Valley centers in Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton and talking with event participants about how we take care of people when they are sick or injured with non-emergency medical issues. Proceeds from this event will benefit Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites to maintain 20 historic landmarks, and Patient First is proud to support such worthwhile community activities.
