  Sheridan Elementary School Partnership

  Sheridan Elementary School Partnership Each year Patient First identifies a few local schools near our centers to provide a monetary gift that we know each appreciates, and needs to bring something a little extra to the school or classroom. This year was no exception.  On a recent visit to Sheridan Elementary School in Allentown, PA, the principal, Ms. Lesko, and students surprised us with a holiday gratitude card to say thanks for our gift. “Grateful … Thankful … Kind … Nice” are just a few sentiments from the students at Sheridan. Sheridan’s Parent Teacher Organization will purchase a Sheridan shirt for each student in the school to support school spirit and for students to wear on special occasions. This will be made possible through Patient First’s gift. See more news and event photos here.

  School Partnership Programs

  School Partnership Programs One of Patient First’s major community initiatives is supporting local schools and working together to provide students and teachers with the resources needed to succeed. Patient First has partnered with over 100 schools within our communities to help foster a positive and productive learning environment. Some of our partnerships have helped facilitate upgrades in school technology, mathematics programs, arts programs, reading programs, athletics, educational field trips, and more. We will be highlighting specific school partnerships in the future to show some of the awesome work that schools are doing to improve the educational experience for their students.  Stay tuned!

  Colonial Heights Middle School

  Reading Initiative- Free Book and Review Program  Patient First is proud to continue supporting Colonial Heights Middle School.  This year they used their donation from Patient First to help fund their Book Review Program and Free Book Friday.  The programs encourage the students to get excited about reading. For Free Book Friday students are selected weekly to pick out a new book that they can keep.  After reading any book of their choice a student will submit a book review that can be reviewed by their peers and staff.  Once the summary is completed they are able to select a treat of their choice. The programs are separate but they work together to improve literacy skills and to cultivate an environment that supports the enjoyment of reading.

  McIntosh Elementary School Rhythm and Wellness Night

  McIntosh Elementary School, located in Newport News, VA, hosted its inaugural Rhythm and Wellness Concert, Bookfair, and Fitness Night on February 29th. Led by the incredible talents of the school's second and third graders, students and their families sang, read, danced, drummed, stretched and learned as they embraced the beat, ignited their fitness journey, and delved into the world of literature all in one unforgettable night. Around every corner of the school was an activity to participate in. Patient First, who was positioned in the front of the school, offered parents, teachers and administrators free blood pressure screenings, many of whom took advantage of the opportunity.  The school itself is a bilingual school. Approximately, 15% of their student population is Hispanic. Each activity for the evening was offered in both English and Spanish. Many of the families who attended the event were not aware of Patient First, despite our Denbigh center being approximately 1 mile from the school.   Holland Elementary School Champions World Autism Month

  April is World Autism Month, but Holland Elementary School Champions Students with Special Needs Every Month Each year, Patient First provides a monetary gift to schools near our centers. In Lower Bucks County Pennsylvania near our Feasterville center, Holland Elementary school used their gift to purchase adaptive physical education equipment. The new equipment is now enabling children with autism and a variety of other special needs to participate fully in gym activities. The school provided a “demonstration day” and invited us out to show us how our gift was put to such good use. They even invited Miss Pennsylvania Meghan Sinisi along to check things out. Meghan is an advocate for children with Autism and the founder of her own 501c3 organization, “From a New Perspective” which provides assistance to families and individuals on the autism spectrum by identifying resources and promoting autism appreciation through educational efforts.   PEP Meeting at Leesburg Elementary School

  On January 11, we had the privilege of participating in a PEP(Parents as Educational Partners) meeting at Leesburg Elementary School, marking the beginning of our partnership with them. The PEP meetings serve as a crucial outreach to the community, engaging parents with valuable information.  This month’s focus was on health, featuring a presentation by the school nurse addressing important topics on when not to send children to school. I presented our “Are You Too Sick for School” information. Approximately 65 parents attended the event with their children, creating a vibrant and supportive atmosphere. Following my presentation and the nurse’s session, there was a Zumba class. Additionally, the school provided food and free winter clothing, emphasizing their commitment to the community’s well-being.  The event served as a powerful connection with the community, fostering positive relationships and reinforcing our commitment to the well-being of Leesburg Elementary School and its families.
