  American Cancer Society Relay for Life

  American Cancer Society- Relay for Life Patient First was excited to participate in the annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life run on Sunday, September 19, 2021. This fundraiser event took place in Leesburg, VA. The Relay of the Life Loudoun County is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the mission of the American Cancer Society. Patient First was recognized as one of the sponsors of the event with a certificate. Patient First staff enjoyed engaging with the community by distributing health information and giveaways.

  49th Annual Woodbury Relays Attract 4000 People in South Jersey

  The 2023 edition of the Woodbury Relays marked its 49th anniversary this year, and Patient First was part of the big day as an event sponsor. We have supported this fun, high profile event in the past, but things felt much bigger this year. More than 4,000 athletes from across New Jersey gathered, along with their families and friends, at Woodbury's Junior-Senior High School on April 22, 2023 for this year's event. Runners in South Jersey are always excited about the Relays event each year; and organizers have it running flawlessly, with lots of activity from start to finish. It has become the highlight of nearly every South Jersey runner's program schedule, since it is one of the most historic track meets in the tri-state area. It's a big deal; gold watches are even awarded to the winners! We enjoyed being on site for this event, where we offered free blood pressure checks, and talked about our services with those who stopped by our tent.   Youth Athletics Partnerships

  Youth Athletics Partnerships Patient First is proud to support local youth athletic organizations that encourage healthy and active lifestyles. We partner with youth and school sports organizations engaging in a variety of sports:  baseball, basketball, football, soccer, swimming, and more. In 2021, Patient First is partnering with over 60 individual sports leagues across the Mid-Atlantic, impacting the lives of thousands of children.   Health First: George Mason University Health and Fitness Expo

  Patient First was delighted to once again be a proud sponsor and vendor at the highly anticipated George Mason University Health and Fitness Expo, taking place on Thursday, March 23. This year's expo was an exciting and engaging event, featuring a wide array of vendors, a cook-off, DJ with music, free smoothies, most importantly, free health screenings. Attendees had the opportunity to receive blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar screenings, as well as HIV testing- all of which are crucial in promoting disease prevention and encouraging a healthier lifestyle. In addition to the screenings, the expo served as a platform for introducing George Mason University faculty, staff, and students to valuable resources within their community that can help them live a healthier life. By showcasing the latest in health and fitness trends, and promoting wellness through interaction and engagement, the George University Health and Fitness Expo underscores Patient First's commitment to helping people lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.   Walking A Mile In Her Shoes for Laurel House

  The mission of Laurel House is to advocate for and empower those impacted by domestic violence by providing crisis intervention, safe haven, supportive programs and resources. They also aim to advance social change through preventive education, community training and the collaboration to provide a coordinated response to domestic abuse. Several years ago the organization tapped Patient First for support, and we have been happy to engage in a variety of their activities as a sponsor ever since that initial connection. We are happy to support an organization like this that provides supportive services to individuals, families and communities throughout Montgomery County, PA.  We participated in the organization's 2024 "Walk A Mile In Her Shoes" event, and had such a great day with the hundreds of individuals, groups and organizations who came out to join the fun. Each year at this event men are literally asked to walk a mile in women's high-heeled shoes to actively confront gender stereotypes and expectation in a playful way.   13th Annual Ronald McDonald House Red Shoe Shuffle

  A beautiful, crisp, clear Sunday morning in downtown Baltimore provided the perfect backdrop for an event steeped in love, caring and support in the form of the Ronald McDonald House Red Shoe Shuffle. While this was the 13th year that this 5k run/walk/stroll has been held at the site of the Ronald McDonald House (just three miles from our Bayview center), this was the first year that Patient First has been a part of it. Nevertheless, we could not have been made to feel more welcome, with friendly greetings and check-ins by the RMH staff, and a prime location for our table and tent in the middle of the event's Celebration Village. With its mission of providing housing-- sometimes for months at a time-- for out of town families while their children undergo life-saving treatments at area hospitals, this nationwide event could not be a more worthwhile cause for us to champion, and we received countless thanks from not just the organizers, but the families and supporters of the recipients of this invaluable service.
