  CORE Foundation Health and Wellness Fair

  CORE Foundation held its inaugural Health and Wellness Fair in conjunction with the Reston Sprint Triathlon on Saturday, June 4. CORE Foundation uses the triathlon as a means to raise charitable funds to support a variety of projects, which are called CORE Causes, in the community ranging from food insecurity and youth empowerment. This year the Health and Wellness Fair took place at Lake Newport Pool in Reston, VA. Over 700 athletes registered this year’s event. Staff from Patient First came out to participate in the Health and Wellness Fair, handing out promotional items, interacting with patients and some who were unfamiliar with our services. To top it off, the weather was immaculate! We look forward to supporting future CORE Foundation events!

  CORE Foundation Super Hero Youth Triathlon

  CORE Foundation held its annual Super Hero Youth Triathlon on Sunday, July 31. Patient First was a proud sponsor of the event and attended the packet pick up on Saturday, July 30. CORE Foundation uses the triathlon as a means to raise charitable funds to support a variety of projects, which are called CORE Causes, in the community ranging from food insecurity and youth empowerment. This year the Super Hero Youth Triathlon consisted of swimming, biking and running which took place at Ridge Heights Pool in Reston, VA. Over 600 athletes registered this year’s event. Staff from Patient First came out to support the event, handing out promotional items, interacting with patients and some who were unfamiliar with our services. We look forward to continue to partner with CORE Foundation for future events.

  Leftover Turkey Trot

  Leftover Turkey Trot Cold weather and strong winds did not keep about 75 hearty runners, ranging in age from 11 to 67, from participating in this year’s Wildcat Foundation Leftover Turkey Trot. Patient First was the presenting sponsor for the event, now in its second year. Held at the Memorial Park Stadium in Mechanicsburg, the event featured a 5k road and trail run, a 1.5 mile Family Fun Run and Walk, and was staggered throughout the morning in order to accommodate Covid safety protocols. The event is hosted by the Wildcat Foundation, an education foundation that provides financial support to the Mechanicsburg Area School District. Despite the less than ideal running conditions, organizers deemed the event a great success! See more news and event photos here.

  STERLING FESTIVAL

  Patient First had the honor of sponsoring the 35th annual Sterling Festival on Saturday, October 7th, 2023. Every year the Sterling Foundation throws a massive block party surrounding the Sterling Community Center. Local artisans, crafters and businesses are invited to participate at this event. Attractions include an obstacle course, games, live music, a beer garden and much more for both adults and kids to enjoy. Unfortunately for us, Mother Nature was not on our side. We had rain on and off throughout the event and winds that were at times too strong. Despite of the weather, we were able to interact with a lot of families that frequent our Sterling location, which was only 3 miles away. This event is one of the largest in Sterling, and it is always a favorite among locals who anxiously its arrival every October. Overall, our Patient First staff had a great time and hope to be back next year!
