  Mountain View Elementary Spring Festival

  On Saturday, May 30th, the PTA at Mountain View Elementary school, near our Gainesville center held its inaugural Spring Festival, and Patient First was a proud participant in the event! More than 500 families gathered to take part in the fun and games, which included activities like the Patient First sponsored Moon Bounce, a rock climbing wall, and a variety of games. There was also a chance for kids to get hands-on experiences with horses, and a petting zoo. A DJ fed the ears, keeping the party atmosphere alive, while food trucks fed participants' stomachs.  The only thing shining brighter than the sun and clear skies were the smiles on the faces of the kids who turned out for this fantastic event. Patient First is proud to have been able to help kick off what everyone hopes will become a yearly event!

  Silver Spring Thanksgiving Parade

  Silver Spring Thanksgiving Parade Patient First was excited to participate in the annual Silver Spring Thanksgiving Parade on Saturday, November 20, 2021. This event took place in downtown Silver Spring, MD in Montgomery County and was a 1 mile event. The Silver Spring Thanksgiving was a family-fun event and featured live music, dancers, bands, animals, floats and local elected leaders and organizations. This year’s Patient First float was Christmas themed with Christmas trees, Teddy bear, Christmas present, toy soldiers and drums. Patient First employees were excited to participate and waved to the crowd filled with families that cheered for Patient First.   Towson Town Spring Festival 2023

  The energy and excitement of the promise of spring was felt in the heart of Towson this past weekend, as tens of thousands of people turned out for the annual rite that is the Towson Spring Fest!  Every year, this event draws throngs of people who take part in the sights, sounds, smells, and taste experiences that make up this two-day event. Once again, Patient First was proud to participate in the fun, and our tent was visited by a vast number of people (and their pets) who told us wonderful stories of their experiences at our centers, and walked away with our treasure trove of promotional items. One of the most frequent refrains heard from those who came by was, "Your table gives away the best stuff!"  In addition to the over 100 vendors that lined the streets of this six-block block party, there were musical acts and dance troop performances showcased on two stages, a petting zoo, carnival rides, and a wide variety of foods spanning the culinary culture of the globe.   Community Partners: Algonkian Elementary

  The future is in reading. Recently, Patient First partnered with Algonkian Elementary School near the Sterling, VA location to sponsor their school literacy efforts. Patient First has longstanding partnerships with several school in the Greater D.C. area. The school used the donation to purchase decodable books which were needed in all grade levels. Decodable books encourage children to sound out words using decoding strategies rather than guessing from pictures or predicting from other cues. Algonkian Elementary is grateful for the donation from Patient First to help the readers of the future. "The books have been successful in helping our students become better readers," said Brian Blubaugh, Algonkian Elementary School Principal.

  Community Partners: Nitrauer Elementary School

  Every year, Patient First selects two elementary schools near each of its 77 centers as a community partner in an effort to further support the health and growth of neighborhood it serves. Our partnership begins with a donation to the school to fund projects or programs that directly benefit the students of each of our partner schools, but it doesn't end there. We continue to engage with the faculty, students and parents at each of these schools through community events like back-to-school nights, family resource nights, health and wellness fairs, school fun runs, and even fall and spring festivals. This week, we are showcasing Nitrauer Elementary as our Partner School of the Week. Located just minutes from our Lancaster center, Nitrauer has been a committed partner with Patient First for several years. This year, Patient First will be helping Nitrauer Elementary fund student assemblies, and a program of lunches recognizing good student behavior, culminating in a recognition of outstanding students for each quarter.   James W. Lilley, Jr. Elementary School

  James W. Lilley, Jr. Elementary School There’s no denying that since March 2020, the pandemic has taken its toll on the emotional health of students and educators everywhere. James W. Lilley, Jr. Elementary School in South Jersey, near our Sicklerville center, tackled things head on and sought ways to raise spirits. Accordingly, the have established a “PRIDE” (Positivity, Respect, Integrity, Determination and Effort) program at the school; and, they are recognizing student achievements each month. Patient First’s donation helped the school purchase “Paw Power” spirit wear T-shirts for PRIDE student leaders. Each month Lilley students are excited to learn who will be recognized from each classroom and rewarded with a special luncheon and their T-shirt. Many students have already been recognized, and this program will continue throughout the school year. Students have been excited to wear their T-shirts during the last Friday each month which is “Spirit Day” at the school.
